Surrendering an animal
We understand that sometimes people’s circumstances change or things happen outside of their control. Even though the majority of our animals have been rescued from terrible living conditions, abuse and neglect, we do have a lot of animals that come in because their owners can no longer give them the care that they need.
Please know that Mini Beasts is a judgment free zone. We know and understand how difficult times can be. We appreciate the strength that it takes to surrender a family pet and admire that the animal’s best interest is at heart no matter how hard it may be.
We aim to make sure that surrendering an animal into us is as simple and as stress free as possible.
1. Get in touch with us and an experienced member of staff will be in touch.
2. We will ask a few questions on the animals and their background as well as reasons for surrender. You do not have to state your reasons if you do not wish to.
4. We will then book you in for a day and time to drop off your animal. On the day of surrender, we will ask you to sign a surrender form to officially hand the animal over to our care.
Please note, due to the high level of workload, we can only give one update on the surrendered animal.
Please be reassured, all of the animals in our care only go to 5* homes and our home checks, information collected and meetings are incredibly thorough. We will not rehome an animal to a home that is not suitable for them and their needs.
