Adoption Process

1. Fill out a form

First things first- Click the button at the bottom of this page to get an adoption form! Once completed just send it back to us to get your application started.

(Psst.. incase you missed it, our email is info@minibeastsrescue.co.uk)

2. The home check

Once we’ve had your form back, if successful, we will contact you to arrange a virtual home/enclosure check to ensure that everything is safe and adequate, which we are sure it will be!

This will either be a WhatsApp/FaceTime call and will take around 10-15 minutes or we will pop by and visit you in person!

3. Come and meet your new fur baby

With the home/enclosure check being successful, we will book you in to come and meet your new fur babies! If they’re ready to leave us, you could potentially take them home same day.

Don’t forget- 50% deposit is due after you meet your new fur babies. Remainder of the rehoming donation will be due on day of adoption.

Please note - We will only rehome kittens in pairs or to a home with another furry friend. This is due to the amount of cats that end up being surrendered back into rescue due to their behaviour.

When a kitten is adopted on their own without a buddy, they can display signs of single kitten syndrome.

Single kitten syndrome can occur when a kitten is raised with other kittens and cats and then adopted into a home by themselves. Kittens who remain with a littermate or similarly-aged companion tend to be healthier, happier, and better socialized.

This is where they become bored, destructive, aggressive, use constant vocalisation, have toileting issues, become bitey and scratchy or even depressed.
As a pair, kittens will teach eachother the boundaries that are harder for a humans to teach and they will keep each other entertained when their humans have to tend to every day life.

As a rescue, you can imagine we have to do everything we can to prevent more animals coming back into us.

It would not be beneficial for a kitten to be adopted as a lone kitten without a furry friend.

This is why we will never rehome a single kitten, alone 🖤
